THE WALL

These 3 are now being displayed in Orli's Bakery in Borehamwood.  I've been commissioned to do another 3 which will be a little more food related, however the story behind these three is that they were drawn up based on the controversial history of the Western Wall and its issues even today.  It all first stemmed from the middle picture based on an adaptation of David Rubingers famous picture of  Zion Karasanti, Yitzhak Yifat and Haim Oshri,  IDF paratroopers at the Western Wall shortly after its capture. It  is a sign of hope and peace in Israel, something that is yearned for still today.  The other two are related to Israels internal struggles with its own microscopic religious and secular wars, however all based on finding inner peace through the many struggles the land, nation and religion has endured over the many years.
